Prayer Warriors

First United prayer warriors are Christians that have a heart to serve by praying for those in need. Prayer warriors are people who are known for regularly interceding on behalf of others before God. Prayer is the most powerful tool that man can have to open the flood gates of God’s love and goodness in any situation. Our Prayer Warriors and Intercessory prayer partners are well equipped and ready to pray for your needs.

Christian Education

First United’s Christian Education Ministry mission is to continuously teach the Word of God through various activities to help participants develop a growing personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our goal is to teach the Bible in such a way the lost come to know Jesus and believers be saved. Activities include: Weekly Bible Study, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, camps/retreats, etc.

Couples Ministry

The First United Couples’ Ministry is designed to strengthen and enhance relationships through the power and wisdom of God’s word. It will help couples thrive by providing empowering educational tools and activities to develop a healthy union. This ministry will, not only play an important role in building successful relationships, but it will also impact children, families, the church, and the community.

Youth

Our Core Values:

God deeply loves all youths. It is the appropriate response of the church to value and cherish youths.
By God’s design, youths are relational beings. The church’s appropriate response is to provide a relationally based youth ministry.
The Holy Spirit is drawing and gifting youths for lifelong, personal relationships of devoted service to Jesus Christ. We want to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in actively evangelizing and discipling youths.
God is the Creator of families and often draws people to his Son working in and through families. We therefore desire to work with youths in partnership with their families wherever possible.

Music

When we worship God corporately, our music ministry goal is to help others see God’s majesty and glory. We want to be invisible—to not distract—and to magnify the name of the Lord. 1 Chronicles 16:8–10 says, “Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.”

Community service

While on earth, Jesus left His example for us to follow. Acts 10:38 states that He “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed”. Throughout His ministry, Jesus continuously worked to ease suffering among all people. Likewise, our faith should motivate us to be conscientious citizens of our country, state and town and inspire us to use our skills and talents in the community at large. Each one of us has been specially made and shaped us with gifts, talent, and skill…and we are called to actively to provide services to improve the lives of those less fortunate or in need.
